Delving into the Stunning Wedding Looks of Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat

Posted by Roshni Chaudhari - August 10, 2024

Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat recently tied the knot, setting social media ablaze with their jaw-dropping wedding looks. Their celebrations served as a vibrant canvas, showcasing not only the couple’s deep love for each other but also their individual styles and personalities. From traditional elegance to contemporary twists, their ensembles have raised the bar for South Asian wedding fashion!
1. Mehendi
First, let’s talk about the Mehendi. Kriti captured the spotlight in a breathtaking floral creation by Ritu Kumar, comprising a corset paired with a lehenga and an attached dupatta. The cream-nude ensemble, accented with touches of pink, was crafted from lightweight tulle coupled with intricate threadwork and silver zari. In addition, the lehenga was embellished with salma, dabka, zardozi embroidery, and sequins, enhancing its ethereal charm. Kriti’s styling was impeccable; rather than opting for a heavy necklace, she let her statement jhumkis with sahara (ear chains) and unique maang tikka from Shri Paramani Jewels shine. With her au-naturel makeup and half-tied hair, she looked like an absolute vision.
Pulkit, on the other hand, went the monochrome route. Styled by Anisha Jain, he was clad in an olive green Faraz Manan embroidered bandhgala kurta set and matching solid straight pants. The groom paired the look with brown leather Rohan Arora mojris, featuring gold zardozi work. But it was the accessories from ESKAE that were the true icing on the cake. The ear cuff and palm cuff added a distinctive edge to the sleek ensemble, seamlessly tying the look together.

2. Haldi
Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat had an unconventional Haldi ceremony, done with a pinch of haldi blended with Multani mitti. Kriti, styled by Ami Patel, dazzled in a bright orange ensemble by Ridhi Mehra, which featured a cropped blouse with scalloped edges and sharara pants with a trail. But what truly caught our attention was the actor’s decision to forgo the dupatta. Instead, two delicate organza pallus were gracefully attached to both sides of the blouse, elevating the entire outfit. The accessories from AMAMA Jewels included a hath phool with pearls, matching gold chandbalis, a matching gold mini bag, and a small maang tikka. Finally, her hair was elegantly braided with pearl strings, thus complementing the overall look.

3. Sangeet
At the Sangeet function, Kriti exuded elegance in a Kresha Bajaj creation – a shimmering blue and silver lehenga embellished with sequins all over. Once again, she went fuss-free, donning a bustier with a tasselled cape instead of a dupatta. The beautiful bride finished her look with a selection of magnificent pieces from Shobha Shringar Jewellers. These included sparkling diamond bangles and gajra kadas, and stunning long chandelier earrings adorned with exquisite blue stones.Meanwhile, Pulkit continued to effortlessly ace his attire (big props to his stylist, Anisha Jain), keeping pace with his bride’s spectacular looks. The actor made a bold impression in an equally captivating black Rahul Mishra bandhgala featuring a mix of white, silver, blue and purple floral embroidery, worn with a sleek black kurta and pants. For footwear, Pulkit chose black custom-made juttis, embellished with a distinctive lion emblem, from Rohan Arora.

4. Wedding
Both Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat chose Anamika Khanna for their wedding day attire. According to sources, Kriti’s custom-made lehenga honoured the wish of Pulkit’s late mother to see her son’s bride in her favourite colour, pink. The lehenga featured delicate Rajasthani gota work and intricate motifs on the scalloped edges, embodying tradition and elegance. She completed her ensemble with custom kalire by Mrinalini Chandra. Kriti went all out and embraced tradition by wearing a nath, a bridal chooda, an elaborate neckpiece, a maang tikka, kadas, and earrings from Goenka India. Moreover, the glowing bride opted for full bridal mehendi instead of following the minimalist trend seen among most Bollywood brides these days.Pulkit has undeniably set new trends for Indian grooms with his wedding day look. Sporting a bespoke pista green Anamika Khanna sherwani paired with a dhoti, doshala, and turban, he showcased a bold departure from the usual colours worn by grooms. The Gayatri Mantra was finely embroidered on his kurta. Furthermore, the pink piping on his green turban perfectly complemented Kriti’s pink bridal look. Adding to his regal appearance, he accessorised his outfit with a pearl-adorned emerald-engraved necklace, along with rings and stud earrings from Jagdish Jewellers. Pulkit finished his look with custom ivory mojris from Rohan Arora. Obviously, this ensemble turned out to be one of the most memorable (and our favourite) celebrity groom looks in recent times!

5. Reception
And now, let’s discuss the last look of this wedding extravaganza. The newlyweds, Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat, were a radiant sight at the post-wedding revelry. Kriti was adorned in a splendid creation by Gauri and Nainika. She was seen in a bespoke strapless mermaid gown featuring the brand’s exquisite peach wild rose oil-on-canvas print. Stylist Ami Patel accessorised the gown with a stunning gemstone necklace from Alok Lodha. Kriti also wore the traditional red bridal chooda on her wrists. Her locks cascaded in elegantly styled waves. Yet, above all, it was her beaming smile that truly stole the show!
Pulkit rocked a bespoke Rohit Gandhi Rahul Khanna velvet tuxedo, intricately hand-embellished with metal accents. He wore it with matching flat-front trousers. His outfit emanated sophistication, with metallic embroidery enhancing both the waistcoat and jacket. Finally, adding flair were black and white loafers from SHUTIQ, which featured a chic black Batwing bow that mirrored Pulkit’s bow tie.
